Leinster Road – where are the yellow lines?
The residents were promised double yellow lines here, but where are they? A bit of a mystery.
I spoke to some residents on Leinster Road today. Some time ago they were promised double yellow lines on the bend where Leinster meets Harrowby to help deal with parking problems aggravated customers from the nearby brothel. I can remember meeting with officers at the council to get parking restrictions introduced so that traffic wardens and police could deal with the problem. The process went as far as council notices informing residents being posted on lamposts in the area, but the lines were never painted.
I’ve written to the Highways department to find out why and see if I can get a timescale for the lines to be painted in.
